Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 July 2026

The protection of your personal data is of particular concern to me. I therefore process
your data exclusively on the basis of the statutory provisions (GDPR, Austrian
Telecommunications Act – TKG 2021). This privacy information explains the most important
aspects of data processing on this website.

Technical data when visiting this website

When you visit this website, your IP address as well as the start and end of your session
are recorded for the duration of that session. This is technically necessary and therefore
constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Unless otherwise
stated below, this data is not processed any further.

Contact

If you contact me via the form on this website or by email, the data you provide will be
stored for six months for the purpose of processing your request and in case of follow-up
questions. This data will not be passed on without your consent.

Cookies

This website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your
device with the help of your browser. They do not cause any harm.

I use cookies to make this website user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your
device until you delete them. They make it possible to recognise your browser on your next
visit.

If you do not want this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you when cookies
are being set and allow them only in individual cases.

If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited. Details on
the cookies used and the option to withdraw your consent at any time can be found in the
Cookie Policy.

Web analytics (Google Analytics)

This website uses functions of the web analytics service Google Analytics, provided by
Google LLC (“Google”). Cookies are used for this purpose, enabling an analysis of how the
website is used. The information generated in this way is transmitted to the provider’s
server and stored there. Analytics cookies are only set with your prior consent (Google
Consent Mode).

You can prevent this by setting up your browser so that no cookies are stored, or by
declining the corresponding consent category.

A data processing agreement has been concluded with the provider.

Your IP address is recorded but immediately pseudonymised (e.g. by deleting the last
8 bits). Only a rough localisation remains possible.

The relationship with the web analytics provider is based on the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified, providing a guarantee of compliance with European data protection law.

Data processing takes place on the basis of the statutory provisions of § 165(3) of the
Austrian Telecommunications Act (TKG 2021) and Art. 6(1)(a) (consent) and/or (f)
(legitimate interest) GDPR.

My concern within the meaning of the GDPR (legitimate interest) is the improvement of
this website and its content. As the privacy of my users is important to me, all user data
is pseudonymised.

User data is retained for a period of 14 months.

Your rights

With regard to your data stored by me, you generally have the rights to information,
rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, withdrawal of consent and objection.
If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or that your
data protection rights have been infringed in any other way, you can complain to me at
dka@danielmkainz.com or to the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde).
