Experience with ARRI, Sony and RED

I have been working as a focus puller / 1st AC based in Vienna for almost seven years. During that time I have worked on a wide range of projects – from series and feature films to commercials. Along the way I have gained extensive experience with high-end camera systems such as ARRI, Sony and RED, as well as with complex setups and demanding shooting conditions. My goal is to keep the technical side so reliable that the DoP’s creative vision can take centre stage.

From Großstadtrevier Back to Vienna

A formative chapter of my career began in 2019, when I moved to Hamburg to work as 1st AC on “Großstadtrevier”, one of Germany’s longest-running TV series. Working within this professional series operation was intense and instructive: well-rehearsed routines, a high shooting frequency and a team that expects quality and reliability as a given. I returned to Vienna in 2021 with plenty of new impressions, and have since worked on numerous productions while continuing to sharpen my style.

How I Work on Set

On set, it matters to me that the camera operator can concentrate fully on framing and storytelling. I prepare in a structured way, keep workflows clear and calm, and step in wherever the situation demands it. To me, good assistance means bringing together technology, organisation and team spirit.

Underwater Camera Operator & Analogue Film

Alongside my work as a focus puller / 1st AC, I offer you specialised expertise as an underwater camera operator. Underwater shoots combine technical precision, strict safety requirements and a visual language of their own – and that combination is exactly what appeals to me. In the coming years I also want to deepen my experience with analogue film and engage more with analogue workflows and aesthetics.
